| Geoff Lumbyam Geoff is a stationarius exempla tenentes, as educated people of the period say, a book seller. His work consists not only in selling and buying books, but he takes care of them too. Obviously, books he deals with and which he keeps exempla or peciae (extracts) of are mundane. But, even if rarely, it's possible he has an arcane text. For his job, he's considered an important element in the Covenant's economy and sometimes Cliffheart, he is friend with, gave its support and aid to Geoff and his family. He lives with his wife in Cionn tSáile (Kinsale); in 1221 he lost his son due to a theft in his shop. |
The archbishop Samson Spiritual guide of the St. Edmund Cathedral of Corcaigh (Cork). He is not a pious man, being more concerned with the management of the abbey and with increasing both its power and security. The abbot of St. Edmund is an ecclesiastical dignitary on a par with a bishop, and he is very influencing all over Ireland, without any doubt especially in the southern part. Corcaigh is dominated by the powerful presence of the Cathedral. Samson is phisically a skinny man, short and he always wears the benedictian black dress. His only jewel is the ring he is used to sign his own correspondence with. His voice is firm, and he knows to have a great charisma when required. | ![]() |
