Nascimentus' history Nascimentus' birth seems not to be sure, at least about the origin of a part of his "familia". It is known, however, that his own origins could not be Irish entirely. As a matter of fact one of his ancestors is told to be born near the Asturie, endowed with clear Portuguese somatic features; it is evident, moreover, from an old family picture kept by Nascimentus, which each member of his family had handed on him jealously. Nascimentus was born near Howling Hills in 1203 and he has been taught in magic arts since his childhood by his teacher Tyrone of Bonisagus... but Magic has never been the only real aim of his life. Actually Nascimentus' love for politics has been always fervid and this was noticed by his grandfather Magister who, supporting the young's inclination for this art, worked in order to achieve the result that a relevant political sense would grow into him.Naturally this "political sense" had to be directed above all to preserve the Irish Freedom from English domination, never seen positively even though the Magi's category has not been very interested in this kind of matters. The Magus' adolescence followed the typical magic education which the pupil showed to learn very easily; in fact, once at least, he managed to put his teacher in troubles. Naturally it will be the experience to shape the behaviour of the young Magus who, however, is strong and respectful of the power, determined and resolute in his aims, respectful of the order and of the Covenant which now he belongs to as well. The entrance of the Magus into the Covenant happened in 1226. Bonisagus' aim is close to the Covenant's needs of course; he swears faithfulness to the same and promises to attend to the Irish matter within the limits which a magus is able and allowed to act. |
